A new morning after pill that could prevent pregnancy for nearly a week after unprotected sex has been hailed as an "exciting" step forward by the pro-choice lobby.

The drug, ulipristal acetate (UA), provides a contraception ‘window’ of up to five days compared with just three for the traditional emergency pill.
New research showed that it more than halved the risk of pregnancy compared with the 72-hour pill, levonorgestrel.

That should be about perfect, plenty long enough to get over the hangover, fall out of lust and come to your senses. Or, if you can't quite remember but some guy walks up, smiles, grabs your ass and starts in with "hey baby, I had a hell of time"...

This is great since it gives a woman more days to find a pharmacist willing to carry and sell these pills. Some women live in puritanical and misogynist cities where this may be a difficult and time consuming process. One less barrier the anti-choice crowd can throw our way... YAY!
